Giving details of the camp at a press conference here on Thursday, the KSC president, C. Mohanachandran, said that over 4,500 children were expected to attend the 21-day-training programme after initial selection trials to be held on April 1 and 2 at all the 154 identified centres.

Besides free coaching, the trainees would be would free uniform and light refreshments. Necessary equipments have been provided to all the 154 centres.

The training would be conducted spread over two sessions, from 7 to 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., at all the centres.

The sole intention behind the conduct of these camps is to unearth fresh talent in the various disciplines. Accordingly, the camp would not be open to those who have already represented their district or State in their chosen discipline.
