YAI's 45th anniversary regatta from April 29

HYDERABAD, MARCH 31 . The Yachting Association of India (YAI) will conduct its 45th anniversary regatta jointly with the Sea Cadet Corps Sailing Association, the Indian Naval Watermanship Training Centre (INWTC), formerly known as the Naval Sailing Club and Army Yachting Node at Mumbai from April 29 to May 1.

The three day event will be open to the following classes/categories: A: International Laser, Laser Radial, National Seabird, Lightning and A class; B: International Enterprise, 470, 420; C: International Optimist, Cadet and Board sailing Classes.

A veterans race will also be held in the J-24 and Seabird classes for those above 45 years of age.

The even will be held over three trapezoid courses located in the Mumbai harbour — one off the Gateway of India, another near the INWTC and the third near Sunk Rock Light House.

Six races in each class will be raced with not more than three slated per day, except in the Seabird and J-24 classes and for veterans.
