Microsoft launches `Office for Banks'

BANGALORE, MARCH 31. Microsoft Corporation India Pvt. Ltd. has announced the availability of Microsoft Office for Banks, a solution created specifically for Indian public sector banks. This customised solution is fully localised and Unicode compliant on a par with global standards in information worker computing.

Microsoft Office for Banks is based on Microsoft Office Hindi, and its features have been developed following guidance and feedback from the Reserve Bank of India. Sudev Muthya, Director Enterprise Partner Group, Microsoft India, said, as the Indian banking industry matured, public sector banks were under increasing pressure to effectively compete with private banking institutions.
