PONDICHERRY, MARCH 31. The Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)'s Pondicherry unit, C.S. Dwivedi has welcomed the proposals made in the Pondicherry budget for 2005-2006 to give an impetus to the development of infrastructure and focus on tourism and welfare of the people. In a release here he said that the focus given on term benefits for industrial development and the announcement of a high-level committee for growth of Information Technology industry and also Information Technology Enabled Services (ITES), steps to acquire land for establishment of special economic zone and proposal for preparation of an industrial master plan formed highlights of the budget.
