Pondicherry
By Our Staff Reporter
PONDICHERRY, MARCH 31. The Director of Animal Husbandry and Animal Welfare, M.C. Rajamanickam, has appealed to goat owners in Pondicherry region to ensure that the animals were inoculated against PPR (Pest de petits ruminants). He said the disease was spreading quickly among goats in the last few weeks. He said that if the goats were not inoculated, there was a possibility of the animals falling victims to the disease. Farmers have been asked to approach the veterinary doctors attached to the dispensaries or village units in their neighbourhood and vaccinate the animals.
