JAIPUR, MARCH 31. The Rajasthan Government has decided to extend the single-phase power supply to the rural areas during the night from the existing six hours to 11 hours. The new arrangement will facilitate the supply of electricity to the villages across the State during the whole night. An official release stated here today that the decision was taken in view of the ongoing school examinations. While the three-phase power will be available to the agricultural consumers for seven hours daily, the single-phase electricity will be supplied for 11 hours for the benefit of students and women. The release said the new arrangement was being implemented with immediate effect.
