Kesavan, managing director of the Bekkal Tourism Development Corporation, as special officer for the Kannur Airport Project, which requires more than 1,000 acres. He said 207 acres had been acquired for the project. He said that the Union Civil Aviation Ministry did not take a favourable view about the airport when his Government had taken it up with it.

The project proposals gathered momentum after a detailed discussions held at a meeting attended by the MLAs, the Member of Parliament representing Kannur, and Capt.
