PCET result announced

GUNTUR, MARCH 31. The Acharya Nagarjuna University announced the Physical Education Common Entrance Examination Test-2004 results on Thursday and 95.15 per cent of the students qualified for the course.

Women outshine

Women bagged all the top seven ranks in the Bachelor course, while four of the top five rankers in the diploma courses were also women. The University Vice-Chancellor, L. Venugopala Reddy, on Thursday said that while 6,354 students had registered for the examination, 5,552 appeared and of them 5,283 qualified. There were only 600 seats available in the four colleges in the State in the undergraduate diploma in physical education and Bachelor of physical education courses for both men and women.

Top rankers

The toppers in both the courses were: B.P.Ed.: Chikati Sandhya Rani from Telangana area, Chandanala Bhavani, Chennam Setty Srilakshmi, Marri Prasanna Lakshmi, Simhadri Saritha, and Yenumula Padmavathi; U.G.D.P.Ed: Baddepudi Masthanaiah, Padigapati Venkata Suhasini, Marri Prasanna Lakshmi, Poluru Saritha, Balle Ramadevi, Konakala Madhava Rao, and Variyala Reena Reddy.
