HYDERABAD, MARCH 31. The Municipal Administration Minister, Koneru Ranga Rao, has said that Rs. 1,500 crores will be spent in three phases to improve the sewerage system in the twin cities and six other municipalities abutting them. Replying to a question by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) member, T. Padma Rao, on the move to modernise the drainage system in the State Capital, Mr. Ranga Rao said that as part of the master plan, first priority works were sanctioned and 12 works were taken up during 2004-05 at an estimated cost of Rs. 94 crores. The works would be completed by December this year.
