HYDERABAD, MARCH 31. There will be disruption in drinking water supply to several parts of the city and surrounding municipalities on April 4 and 5 owing to synchronisation works of the Krishna Drinking Water Supply Project with the existing water distribution network. Normal supplies will be resumed on April 6. The following areas will be affected. Operation and Maintenance Division I: Mir Alam, Chandulal Baradari, Bahadurpura, Doodhbowli, Misrigunj, Pattergatti, Gulzar House, Azampura, Darulshifa, Moghulpura, Sultanshahi and surrounding areas. Division II: Malakpet, Saroornagar, Chanchalguda, Moosarambagh, Asmangadh, Saidabad, Santoshnagar, Madannapet, Yakutpura, Dabeerpura, Jahanuma, Aliabad, Gowlipura, Maisaram. Division V: Narayanguda, Domalguda, Vidyanagar, Adikmet, Golnaka, Ramanthapur, Kachiguda, Barkatpura, Baghlingampally, Shivam and Uppal Municipality. Division X: Saroornagar, Dilshukhnagar, Alkapuri, L.B. Nagar, Vanasthalipuram, Champapet.
More Krishna water
In a statement on Thursday, the Hyderabad Metro Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) Managing Director, B.P. Acharya, said completion of the synchronisation works would enable them to draw 90 MGD of Krishna water as against the present 68 MGD from April 9, the Ugadi day.
