Bandh by drug traders
HYDERABAD,
MARCH 31.
The State Federation of Drug Traders (FEDTAP) has given a call to observe two-day token bandh from Friday, protesting against the provisions of the Value Added Tax (VAT). The federation president, S. Venkatpati, and the general secretary, D. Krishna Reddy, in a statement issued here on Thursday criticised the provisions of VAT, which allow chemists and druggists having a turnover of Rs. 40 lakhs to collect tax.
