Row over damage to plaque
By Our Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD,
MARCH 31.
Controversy is brewing over the breaking of the plaque of Ambedkar and Babu Jagjivan Ram statues at L.B. Nagar.
The L.B. Nagar police booked a case following a complaint lodged by the TDP and the BJP stating that an MLA and his followers were responsible for damaging the plaque.
"We have learnt that the MLA was in Delhi on March 29, the day on which the plaque was broken by unidentified persons. However, we registered the case," the LB Nagar Inspector, T. Srinivas Reddy, said.
The L.B. Nagar Municipality former Chairman, Ramesh Goud, of the TDP, unveiled the two statues a few days before expiry of his term.
