Three bills passed

HYDERABAD, MARCH 31. The Assembly on Thursday unanimously passed three bills to amend the Andhra Pradesh Civil Courts Act, the Andhra Pradesh (Telangana Area) Small Causes Court Act and the Andhra Pradesh Buildings (Lease, Rent and Eviction) Control Act.

The Endowments Minister, M. Satyanarayana Rao, moved a bill to amend the Andhra Pradesh Civil Courts Act, 1972, which proposes to enhance the appellate side jurisdiction of District Judges and Chief Judges from Rs. 3 lakhs to Rs. 5 lakhs. The bill was passed with voice vote.
