Elephant runs amok

KOCHI, MARCH 31. An elephant belonging to the Cochin Devaswom ran amok, causing tense moments at the Sree Poornathrayesa Temple here this afternoon.

The elephant attacked Rajan, its second mahout. Even though he escaped without any injuries, the animal did not allow anyone to go near it. Later the animal was chained after administering a shot of sedative.
