JAMMU, APRIL 1. A passenger scheduled to travel to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir by the Srinagar-Muzafarrabad bus has been threatened over telephone by a terrorist outfit. Khalid Hussian, a retired Deputy Commissioner, and his wife, Naseem Firdous, are to take the bus on April 7. He received the threat from London at 9.05 a.m. yesterday. The caller identified himself as an Al-Naseren terrorist outfit activist, a shadow outfit of the Lashkar-e-Taiba. Mr. Hussian who lives in Ustad Mohalla area of the city said: "A caller with a Kashmiri accent warned me not to go to the other side of the Line of Control. I told the caller that my purpose of going across the Line of Control is simply to meet my relatives and nobody can stop me from going there." The caller then threatened to eliminate Mr. Khalid on his return to whichMr. Khalid reportedly retorted. "We live in India and my country would protect me so I have nothing to fear anyone." Police traced the call to London. As terrorists have been able to get the addresses of the families, the real concern for the security agencies is the security of the people in the far-flung areas of the State where most of the divided families are living.
