By Our Staff Reporter
ERODE, APRIL 2. The revenue and police officials removed the Mariamman idol kept on a poramboke land. The police said that some people in Nadupalayam village near Chitode placed the idol a week back and started offering pooja. But some others in the area objected to it and a complaint was filed with the Erode tahsildar and the Chitode police. It was removed last night but this morning the idol was placed again at the same place. The police removed it and a picket has been posted.
