PONDICHERRY, APRIL 2. The Revenue Department has formed a Hazard Safety Cell under the chairmanship of the Chief Engineer of Public Works Department here, a notification in the State Gazette said today. The purpose, among other things, is to establish proper implementation of building codes in all future construction of structures. The cell has been set up in accordance with the directives of the Union Home Ministry.
