By Our Sports Reporter
HYDERABAD, APRIL 2. Some of the big names of Indian archery, including Olympian Limba Ram, Olympian Satyadev Prasad, Dola Banerjee and World junior silver medallist N. Ravinder, will be seen in action in the four-day National ranking archery circuit meet beginning at the Lal Bahadur Stadium here on Sunday. The event, which carries a prize money of Rs. 2 lakhs, assumes significance as it will give a chance for the contenders to qualify for next month's World championship in Spain. Two Korean coaches Cheh Hong Lee and Lim Chae will monitor the performances of the archers and provide inputs for selection. Addressing a press conference, Anil Kamineni, Secretary General, Archery Association of India, said that competition in compound bow section would be held here for the first time.
Exposure
In order to get enough exposure before the World championship, Indian archers will take part in the European Grand Prix next month in Turkey besides the second-leg of the National circuit event in Bangalore. Delhi will host the Asian championship in November this year.
