MCE posts win

MYSORE, APRIL 2. Anantha (30th minute) and Shelly Katiry (52nd) scored one goal each as defending champion Malnad College of Engineering, Hassan (MCE) registered a 2-0 win over NMAMIT, Nitte in the semifinals of the Mysore Zone inter-VTU football tournament conducted by Vidhyavardhaka Collegeof Engineering at the University grounds here on Saturday.

The results:

Semifinals: MCE, Hassan bt NMAMIT, Nitte 2-0; PES, Mandya bt St. Joseph's (M'lore) 1-0.

Quarterfinals: St. Joseph's (M'lore) bt PACE, Mangalore 1-0; NMAMIT, Nitte bt JNNCE, Shimoga 3-0.
