THRISSUR, APRIL 2. The budget of the Thrissur Urban Development Authority (TUDA) for 2005-2006 envisages revenue of Rs.5.51 crores and expenditure of Rs.5.46 crores. This was announced by the TUDA chairman M.K. Kannan at a press conference here on Saturday. He said that the High Road-Anchuvilakku commercial zone and the Palakkad-Angadi road would be developed. A project to develop Puzhakkal Padam as an urban sub-centre will be launched. A sum of Rs.75 lakhs has been sanctioned for constructing a bus station and shopping complex at Puzhakkal Padam. A six-storey building will be constructed at Shakthan Nagar at a cost of Rs.50 lakhs, Mr. Kannan said.
