KOLLAM, APRIL 2. On directions from the Kerala High Court, the Kerala State Legal Services Authority, in association with the District Legal Service Authority (DLSA), is organising a Lok adalat for the tsunami victims. The adalat will be held on Sunday from 9 a.m. at the Government Model Higher Secondary School, Karunagapally. The DLSA had received 5,000 petitions from the tsunami victims. Around 1,870 petitions have been posted for settlement. A bulk of the petitions is for houses, medical care, boats and fishing nets. The petitions will be taken up at 31 booths. The programme will be inaugurated by the KLSA chairman, Justice K.A. Abdul Ghafoor.
