CHENNAI, APRIL 2. Sindhu (46) of Thiruvananthapuram, who was arrested here by a team of police personnel from Kerala for her alleged involvement in the SSLC question paper leak case in Kerala, was remanded to judicial custody today. The Kerala Police produced her before the XVII Metropolitan Magistrate, who then asked them to produce her before the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday. She would be taken to Kerala tomorrow. While a couple of the team members would escort her to Kerala, the remaining members would camp in the city to interrogate the printing press owner and one Suresh, assistant of Sindhu. So far, Sindhu did not tell them as to how she got the question paper, the police said. Wilson Joseph, Superintendent of Police, who is heading the team and camping in the city, said the police arrested Sindhu on Friday from a house in Kodambakkam. A few days ago, the Kerala police arrested Bindhu (40), sister of Sindhu, in Thiruvananthapuram. One Geetha of Chennai was awarded the contract for printing the question paper and her husband assisted her in the work, Mr. Wilson said. Asked about the involvement of the printing press owner in the case, Mr. Wilson said his involvement had not yet been established.
