Cloudy skies

CHENNAI, APRIL 2. The sky will be generally cloudy on Sunday. There will be a possibility of a shower or thundershower in some areas. The maximum temperature will be around 34 degrees Celsius. On Saturday, Nungambakkam recorded a maximum temperature of 34.2 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 25.9 degrees Celsius. The humidity was 75 per cent. Meenambakkam recorded a maximum temperature of 34.5 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 25.9. The humidity was 78 per cent.

Blood donation

Students of Jerusalem College of Engineering and volunteers donated 161 units of blood at a blood donation camp on Friday. The organisers, Lions Club of Madras Velachery, have held 45 blood donation camps since July 2004 and collected 5559 units of blood.
