THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, APRIL 2. The Additional District Sessions Judge, K. Sasidharan Nair, today found guilty a 30-year-old unwed mother who was charged with murder of her infant child. The court found that Rahina Beevi had committed the murder of the child born out of wedlock to avoid disgrace in society. The judge recommended that the State Government reduce the woman's punishment taking into consideration the special circumstances that had led her to commit the crime. The incident had occurred on March 20, 2000.
