LIC staff strike work

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, APRIL 2. Employees of the LIC under the aegis of the LIC Employees Union struck work throughout the State on Thursday as part of a nation-wide agitation demanding wage revision and fresh recruitment.

Leadership camp

The Yuva Janata Dal will organise a leadership camp on April 3 and 4 at the Al-Saj auditorium. Kazhakkuttom. Issues such as the Patents Bill, unemployment and the commercialisation of education will be discussed at the camp.

Vacation classes

Admissions have started for the various vacation classes in dance and music at the Gurugopinath Natanagramam at Vattoyoorkkavu. Classes would be held for Keralanadanam, light music, violin, veena, tabala and mridangam beginning April 4. From this year, special training in Ottanthullal would also be offered. Classes begin

Vacation classes organised by the Centre for Organised Research in Education (CORE) commenced today with a counselling programme for students and a seminar. Classes would be held for students from classes four to 12 on various subjects such as effective communication, personality development, computers, music, craft and painting.
