Drinking water scarcity

KOCHI, APRIL 2. Residents of Kadamakudi have complained of severe drinking water scarcity. They alleged that the water being supplied in tanker lorries was not even meeting the minimum water requirement in several houses. The huge amount spent for supplying water in tanker lorries could have been used for permanent water supply projects, they said.

Temporary halt for train

Temporary halt has been allowed for Train No.6306 Cannanore-Ernakulam Express at Ernakulam Town station on an experimental basis for six months beginning April 4, according to a communication from the Southern Railway.

Last date

extended

Kerala Water Authority (KWA) has extended to April 15 the last date for one-time settlement of arrears incurred by consumers in the central region. Applications for payment of arrears should be submitted to assistant executive engineers before April 5. The chief engineer of the region will take a final decision on the request for settlement before April 8.

wedding

Film actor Kunchacko Boban got married to Priya Anne, a native of Thiruvananthapuram, at Little Flower Church, near Elamkulam, here today. Several film actors participated in a reception held at Hotel Sarovaram in the evening.

Summer workshop
