CHANDIGARH, APRIL 3. The Haryana police claim to have solved several cases and recovered looted property worth Rs. 2.50 lakhs, including 20 mobile phones, a number of sim cards, cash, a country-made pistol with live cartridges and a motor-cycle without registration number plate allegedly used for committing crimes. According to an official spokesman, two persons, identified as Baldev Singh and Jaswinder Singh of village Amritsar Kalan had been arrested and they had reportedly confessed having committed a number of crimes. He further said that the dacoity at the Chormar village branch of the Punjab National Bank had been solved with the arrest of the accused, Gurpal Singh of village Dharampura.
