Conduct of SSLC exam to be reviewed

By Our Staff Reporter

KOCHI, APRIL 4. The State Government plans to comprehensively reform the conduct of SSLC examinations, from printing of question papers to the conduct of examinations, according to the Education Minister, E. T. Mohammed Basheer.

There is no need for a probe by the Assembly committee into the incident as the State Crime Branch is investigating the case, Mr. Basheer said. The Minister was speaking to mediapersons on the sidelines of World Mayors Conference today. Reacting to the statement of the Leader of the Opposition, V.S. Achuthanandan, that the Education Minister had a role in selecting the press where question papers were printed, Mr. Basheer said the Education Minister need not be apprised of the printing of the question papers.
