HYDERABAD: Hyderabad Industries, the C.K.Birla Group Company, is exiting its non-core activity and transferring its heavy engineering division situated at Uttarpara (West Bengal) to Titagarh Wagons Ltd. According to a release, the decision was taken by the board of directors after evaluating available options. This would enable the company to focus and direct its available managerial and financial resources to its core business of building products and allied activities. The division makes engineering products such as excavators, cranes and steel structures. It also specialises in equipment for mining material and power generating sectors.
