CHENNAI, APRIL 5. Velammal Engineering College (Chennai) received the award for emerging champion in Zone 1 at the Anna University sports function here on Monday. Prof. A. Vijayakumar, Chairman, Anna University Sports Board, welcomed the gathering and highlighted the sports achievements of the students of Anna University. He also stressed the need for better coordination among the University players all over Tamil Nadu and sought the assistance of the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu in this regard.
