MOGA (PUNJAB), APRIL 5. A man in his mid-20s has been arrested on charges of impersonation and cheating after he tried to pass off as a 40-year-old during a post-graduate medical entrance examination. The only resemblance seemed to be the surname, Kumar, and the police have arrested four persons of that name. Faridkot district police arrested one Manoj Kumar hailing from Lucknow for allegedly impersonating Harminder Kumar, a medical officer from Batala, who was appearing in the PG test of Baba Farid University of Medical Science on Sunday, police said today. Two accomplices, both named Shashi Kumar and residents of Nalanda district of Bihar, were also arrested while Harminder Kumar was apprehended on Monday. Faridkot SSP Chander Shekhar said Manoj Kumar's ruse was caught by the exam supervisor when the the photograph on the examination slip did not match. The photo was of Harminder Kumar, 40, whereas Manoj Kumar is in his mid-20s.
