Tirupati
By Our Special Correspondent
TIRUPATI, APRIL 5. Seven persons were injured, two of them grievously, when the vehicle in which they were travelling crashed into the parapet wall at "Enugula Arch'' on the second ghat road on Tuesday. A pilgrim party had come from Tadipatri in Anantapur district for darshan of the Lord and was motoring down the road when the mishap occurred. Among the injured is a Tirumala-based constable, Lakshmaiah, who sought a lift from the pilgrim party. The injured were rushed to Government General Hospital here.
Body found
In another incident on the same ghat road, the police found the body of a 45-year-old man in the "Akkagarla Gudi'' valley. Police quoting eyewitnesses said the pilgrim accidentally slipped into the valley. The police are trying to establish the identity of the man with the help of the tailor's lable on the shirt collar.
