CHANDIGARH, APRIL 5. Wheat arrivals have started picking up in the grain markets of Haryana. About 70,288 metric tonnes had arrived till yesterday and the Government procuring agencies purchased 69,565 metric tonnes, according to the Deputy Chief Minister, Chander Mohan, who also holds the Food and Supplies portfolio. In a statement here today, Mr. Mohan said the Food and Supplies Department had procured 34,107 metric tones, Hafed 11,470 metric tonnes, Haryana Agro Industries Corporation 1063 metric tonnes, Food Corporation of India 5,125 metric tonnes, Haryana Warehousing Corporation 11,979 metric tonnes and Confed 5,821 metric tonnes.
