CHANDIGARH, APRIL 5. The Haryana Governor, A.R. Kidwai, who is also Chancellor of the Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa and Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar has accepted the resignations of the Vice-Chancellors of these three Universities with immediate effect. While A.K. Chawla was the Vice-Chancellor of the Kurukshetra University, Vishnu Bhagwan, a former bureaucrat, was the Vice-Chancellor of the Guru Jambheshwar University and Chaudhary Devi Lal University. According to separate notifications issued by the Secretary to Governor, Vijai Vardhan, here today, Maha Singh, Commissioner Ambala Division, would also function as the Vice- Chancellor of Kurukshetra University and R.R. Fuliya, Commissioner Hisar Division, would also function as Vice-Chancellor of Chaudhary Devi Lal University and Guru Jambheshwar University. Even though the Government was silent about the Vice-Chancellor of the Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, M.K. Miglani, University sources said that he had put in his papers today by sending his resignation to the State Governor. It may be recalled that these Vice-Chancellors had been appointed by the erstwhile Om Parkash Chautala Government and were still to complete their tenures.
