KOTTAYAM, APRIL 5. Four students, who were found engaged in malpractices while taking examinations, were caught today by a special squad of the office of the Controller of Examinations of Mahatma Gandhi University. According to a press note, a special squad led by the Controller of Examinations, Thomas John Mambara, today conducted surprise raids on several examination centres in the district. The students, who were caught from one of the centres, were appearing for Model I, English Paper I BA examination. The squad had found many using mobile phones, Mr. Mambara said. The order to ban mobile phones in examination centres should be strictly adhered to, he said. Meanwhile, the university authorities have asked college teachers who have received call letters to come for centralised valuation camps immediately.
