SANGAREDDY, APRIL 5. The 15 deputy surveyors who were deputed to Medak district from Srikakulam and Visakhapatnam to assist in identifying land for distribution, left without joining duty, following protests by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi activists. Clarifying the issue, the District Collector, Anil Kumar Singhal, told reporters that they were not brought to Medak to fill vacancies. He said at present only two surveyors were at the disposal of the district administration and training of new people would take at least six more months. He pointed out that recruitment was in the hands of the State Government. Till new hands were recruited, work on land survey for Indira Kranthi pathakam would be hit, he added.
