MAHABUBNAGAR, APRIL 5. The Telangana Madiga Dandora (TMD) organised a dharna in front of the Collectorate on Tuesday on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Babu Jagjivan Ram demanding distribution of 500 acres of land in Dsrayipalli village of Talkondapally mandal among the seventy Dalit families said to be tilling the land for five generations. A member from each dalit family participated in the dharna that was led by the TMD State convener, Devani Satish Madiga, and State co-conveners S. Parameshwar Madiga, Chinta Swamy and Siddratha Madiga. They submitted a memorandum to the State special representative at New Delhi, Mall Ravi, who came here to participate in the celebrations. The dharna lasted about six hours.
