CHENNAI, APRIL 5. Miracle came from Uganda to get her heart corrected. So did six other youngsters from Iraq to the Frontier Lifeline Hospital (Dr. K.M. Cherian Heart Foundation). While 13-month-old Miracle's complications, including oxygen saturation, were corrected by an intracardiac repair, 19-year-old Mustafa Abid Ali Jafar underwent the second stage of single ventricle repair. Dr. Cherian headed the team of doctors that performed the procedures. The surgeries are over, the smiles are back and the families are ready to leave on Wednesday. And according to baby Sali Jabar's father there are more Iraqi children waiting to come down to Chennai.
