Award for Balamuralikrishna
NEW DELHI,
APRIL 5
. Carnatic musician M. Balamuralikrishna has been selected for the Swaralaya Puraskaram 2004 for his contribution to classical music.
The award will be given during a two-day Swaralaya festival of dance and music starting here on April 16, the Swaralaya president, Justice (Retd) Balakrishna Eradi, told reporters.
The award carries a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh and a sculpture by artiste Soman Dev. — PTI
