Four held in assault case

TIRUCHI, APRIL 5 . Four persons were arrested on the charge of assaulting a 35-year-old man causing injuries to him. The incident occurred at Bhikshandarkoil near here recently. A complaint was lodged with the police on Monday.

The police here said Paneer (42), Anandhan (31), Subramani (26) and Vasu (43) allegedly assaulted Maruthappan with milk can covers following a quarrel between them at a temple festival. The injured Maruthappan has been admitted in the Srirangam Government Hospital.

The Samayapuram police have registered a case.
