Power theft detected

KOCHI, APRIL 5. The Inspector General of Police, Kerala State Electricity Board (Vigilance Wing), Rishiraj Singh, conducted surprise inspections to check power theft at various places here today. It is learnt that the inspection team had found that several business houses in the city were involved in power theft. The vigilance wing has pointed out that stringent action will be taken against those involved in power theft. The wing has also invited the public to pass information on instances of power theft.

Training programme

A training programme conducted by the Norka-SCMS Institute for paramedical studies for Keralites aspiring to go abroad in search of jobs was inaugurated here today. P. T. Nandakumar, managing director of Norka-Roots, inaugurated the programme at a function held at the South Kalamassery campus of the institute. The project is part of the Kerala Fast Forward Scheme being implemented by the Government.
