Rushmi in last eight

MUMBAI, APRIL 6. Third-seeded Rushmi Chakravarthi, wild card Shruti Dhawan and Punam Reddy entered the quarterfinals of the $10,000 ITF women's tennis championship here on Wednesday.

Rushmi, ranked 372, overcame a fighting Wilawan Choptang of Thailand 7-6(6) 6-2 and will meet Romanian Mihaela Buzarnescu, conqueror of Petra Cetkovska of Czechoslovakia, for a place in the semifinals. Cetkovska was the only seed to fall losing 6-3, 0-6, 6-3.
