Kunte shares lead

DUBAI, APRIL 6. Abhijit Kunte defeated Uzbek International Master Sergey Kayumov to be among the 16 leaders after the second round of the Dubai Open chess tournament here on Tuesday.

On a day when K. Humpy and S. Kidambi proved equal to China's Ni Hua and Russia's Sergey Volkov, seeded six and eight respectively, R. B. Ramesh and Sandipan Chanda drew their matches with black pieces.
