KOCHI, APRIL 6. A Division Bench of the Kerala High Court today directed the Police to produce the 14-year-old girl who was missing from Thrissur since March 11 within a week. The Bench comprising Justice J.B. Koshy and Justice M. Sasidharan Nambiar also directed the State Government to see that a senior police officer was entrusted with the investigation of the case. The court issued the directive when a habeas corpus petition filed by the father of the girl, Anandan of Ollur came up. The court also expressed its displeasure over the failure of the police to trace the girl. According to the petitioner, the girl was studying in ninth standard of St. Raphael's School. Sangeeth, Biju and Sreenath had taken away the girl after promising her a chance in television serials. The Government pleader submitted that while Sreejith has been arrested, two others are absconding. The counsel for the petitioner said that the two accused were visiting the police station daily. He alleged that there were some collusion between the police and the accused.
