BANGALORE,
APRIL 6.
The police are awaiting the autopsy report of Gargi Vaishnavi, a scientist at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), to find the cause of her suicide in her quarters in IISc on Monday night.
Dr. Vaishnavi was as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Instrumentation.
Her husband, Venkatarao R., working in private firm, found her hanging from the ceiling when he returned home around 10 p.m.
The police sent the body for autopsy today.
"We can know the cause of the death only after we get the report in the next three days," the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central), G.B. Chebbi, told The Hindu.
