KOCHI, APRIL 7. The KPCC vice-president, A.C. Jose, has asked the senior Congress leader K. Karunakaran to clarify his stand regarding the parallel organisational activities being carried out by his group. Talking to reporters at the KPCC office here on Thursday, Mr. Jose said Mr. Karunakaran had the responsibility to tell the public the intentions behind the activities being carried out from the residences of his son and daughter as well as from his own residence in Thiruvananthapuram. Regarding Mr. Karunakaran's claim in addressing his faction as the `I' group, Mr. Jose said the Election Commission had recognised only a single Congress party. Mr. Karunakaran is free to call his faction as the `K' group, he said. As steps are being taken to hold the party elections, Mr. Karunakaran has no grounds to continue with the parallel activities, he said.
