New chief scientific officer for Matrix

HYDERABAD: Matrix Laboratories announced the appointment of B. Gopalan as Chief Scientific Officer (CSO). Before joining Matrix, Dr. Gopalan was associated with Glenmark Pharmaceuticals as senior Vice-President (Chemical Research). During his five-year tenure with Glenmark, he was in-charge of drug discovery chemistry research in the therapeutic segments of diabetes, obesity and PhosphoDiEsterase 4-Inhibitors, says a release.
