KOLKATA, APRIL 7. Farid Alam and Treta Bhattacharyya lifted the under-18 boys' and girls' singles crowns of the AITA talent series tennis championship at the South Club courts here on Thursday. The second-seeded Farid defeated third-seeded Arup Mullick 6-1, 6-4, while Treta beat sixth-seeded Rohini Das 0-6, 7-6 (10-8), 6-3. Later, Farid Alam combined with Arpit Sharma to win the under-18 boys' doubles crown.
Girls: Under-18 singles: Treta Bhattacharyya bt Rohini Das 0-6, 7-6 (10-8), 6-3. Under-14 singles: Mohana Sarker bt Madhurima Chaudhuri 6-0, 6-1. Our Special Correspondent
