By Our Staff Reporter
NALGONDA,
APRIL 7.
Suspected Maoists shot dead a Telugu Desam Party leader, Sangireddy Satti Reddy (60), after kidnapping him from his house at Allapur in Chowtuppal mandal last night.
According to Ravinder, Officer on Special Duty, Reddy, the village unit president of the party, was found dead near his house with four bullet injuries. "Last night he slept in the front yard of his house. Members of the Rachakonda dalam might have taken him to a secluded placed and fired at him from close range at midnight," he said.
Reddy's family said naxals had asked him to resign from the party before the elections. He is survived by wife, three sons and a daughter. Maoists have so far not claimed responsibility for the incident.
