SWR to run special trains to clear summer rush

HUBLI, APRIL 7. Here is a list of summer specials being run by South Western Railway to clear the extra rush during summer.

The 0684/0683 Bangalore City-Chennai-Bangalore (weekly special): departs from Bangalore on Friday at 9.30 p.m. and arrives in Chennai Central at 4.35 a.m. on Saturday. Departs from Chennai at 9.45 p.m. on Sunday and arrives in Bangalore on Monday at 5.15 a.m. Service available from Bangalore from April 15 to June 24, and from Chennai from April 17 to June 26. The coaches comprise 2 AC two-tier, 1 AC three-tier, 12 second-class sleeper, 3 general second-class, 2 second-class luggage-cum-brake vans. The routes covers Bangarpet, Jolarpettai and Katpadi.

The 0673/0674 Yeshwantpur-Ajmer-Yeshwantpur (weekly special): departs from Yeshwantpur at 8 p.m. on Sunday and arrives at Ajmer on Tuesday at 6.20 p.m. It departs from Ajmer on Wednesday at 5.35 a.m. and arrives at Yeshwantpur on Friday at 3.30 a.m. Service available from Yeshwantpur April 3 to June 26 and from Ajmer April 6 to June 29. The coaches comprise 2 AC three-tier, 8 second-class sleeper, 4 general second-class, two second-class luggage-cum-brake vans. The route covers Arsikere, Hubli, Miraj, Pune, Surat, Ahmedabad, and Abu Road.

The 0632/0631 Bangalore city-Kochuveli-Bangalore city (weekly special): departs from Bangalore on Sunday at 10.15 p.m. and arrives at Kochuveli on Monday at 4.15 p.m. It departs from Kochuveli on at 7.45 p.m. and arrives in Bangalore city on Tuesday at noon. Service available from Bangalore April 3 to June 26, and from Kochuveli from April 4 to June 27.

The coaches comprise 2 AC two-tier, 2 AC three-tier, 9 second-class sleepers, 3 general second-class and 2 second-class luggage-cum-brake vans. The route covers Bangarpet, Tirupattur, Palghat, and Kottayam.

MB-1 Mysore-Bangalore-Mysore daily special: departs from Mysore at noon and arrives in Bangalore at 2.55 hp.m. Departs from Bangalore at 3.30 p.m. and arrives in Mysore at 6.25 p.m. Service available from Mysore and Bangalore up to June 30. The coaches comprise 1 first class, 6 second-class sleeper, 8 general second-class, 2 second-class luggage-cum-brake vans.

The 0637/0638 Bangalore city Ernakulam-Bangalore city (daily special): departs from Bangalore at 5.25 p.m. and arrives at Ernakulam at 6.15 a.m. It departs from Ernakulam at 3 p.m. and arrives in Bangalore at 4.30 a.m. Service available from Bangalore and Ernakulam up to June 30. The coaches comprise one AC three-tier, 9 second-class sleeper, 2 general second-class, 2 second-class luggage-cum-brake vans. The route covers Bangarpet, Tirupattur, Erode, Podannur and Palghat.

The 0647/0648 Bangalore city-Nagercoil Junction (tri-weekly special): departs from Bangalore at 5.45 on Saturday, Tuesday, Thursdays and arrives at Nagercoil at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday. It departs from Nagercoil at 5.30 p.m on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday and arrives in Bangalore at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Monday, Thursday. Service available from Bangalore from April 9 to June 30, and from Nagercoil April 10 to July 1. The coaches comprise 2 AC three-tier, 7 second-class sleeper, 2 general second-class and 2 second-class luggage-cum-brake vans. The route covers Hosur, Salem Didigul, Madurai and Tirunelveli.

Belgaum -Miraj-Belgaum local (five days a week): departs from Belgaum at 6.10 a.m. (from Monday to Friday) and arrives at Miraj at 9.15a.m. It departs from Miraj at 10 a.m. and arrives at Belgaum at 12.55 p.m. Service available up to June 30 from both sides. The coaches comprise 6 general second-class and one second-class luggage-cum-brake van).

Belgaum-Miraj-Belgaum Passenger, four days a week (Monday to Thursday): departs from Belgaum at 3 p.m. and arrives at Miraj at 6.30 p.m. It departs from Miraj at 6.55 p.m. and arrives in Belgaum at 10 p.m. Service available up to June 30. The coaches comprise 6 general second-class, and second-class luggage-cum-brake van.

The 0803/0804 Howrah-Bangalore city-Howrah (weekly special): departs from Howrah on Wednesday at 3.25 p.m. and arrives in Bangalore on Friday at 4 a.m. It departs from Bangalore on Friday at 11.15 p.m. and arrives in Howrah on Sunday at 3.45 p.m. Service available up to June 29. From Bangalore up to June 30. The coaches comprise one AC two-tier, 3 AC three-tier, 11 second-class sleeper, two general second-class, and two second-class luggage-cum-brake van and a pantry car. The route covers Jolarpettai, Vijayawada, Khurda Road, Kharagpur, Hosrah, Dhupguri, and Rangya Junction.

The 0201/0202 Guwahati-Bangalore-Guwahati (weekly special): departs from Guwahati on Sunday at 11.15 p.m. and arrives in Bangalore on Wednesday 12.10 p.m. It departs from Bangalore on Wednesday at 11.55 p.m. and arrives in Guwahati on Saturday at 2.30 p.m. Service available from Guwahati from April 10 to June 12, and from Bangalore April 13 to June 15. The coaches comprise 1 AC two-tier, 11 second-class sleeper, two general second-class, two second-class luggage-cum-brake vans and a pantry car. The routes covers Jolarpettai, Vijaywada, Khurda Road, Kharagpur, Howrah, Chupguri, and Rangya Jn.

The 0889/0890 Tatanagar Jn-Yeshwantpur-Tatanagar Jn. (weekly special): departs from Tatanagar on Friday at 3.10 p.m. and arrives in Yeshwantpur on Sunday at 6.15 a.m. It departs from Yeshwantpur on Monday at 7.30 a.m. and arrives in Tatanagar on Tuesday at 9.30 p.m. Service available from Tatanagar from April 15 to June 24 and from Bangalore from April 18 to June 27.

The coaches comprise one AC two-tier, one AC three-tier, 9 second-class sleeper, 4 general second-class, and two second-class luggage-cum-brake vans. The routes covers Jolarpettai, Perumbur, Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, Rayagada, Jharsigudi, Chakradharpur.

The 7603/7604 Yeshwantpur-Kacheguda-Yeshwantpur (extended up to Sri Satya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam from Yeshwantpur) daily special: departs from Kacheguda at 8.40 p.m. and arrives in Yeshwantpur at 10.30 a.m. the next day. It departs from Yeshwantpur at 3.p.m. and arrives in Kacheguda at 5 a.m. the next day. Service available from both Kacheguda and Yeshwantpur up to June 30. The coaches comprise one AC three-tier, six second-class sleeper, two general second-class and two second-class luggage-cum-brake vans.
